The fifth Sustainability Report

With the presentation of the Sustainability Report 2023, the Group consolidates its commitment to sustainability for a concretely sustainable horizon and future.

The Fifth Sustainability Report represents a moment of dialogue and discussion with Stakeholders, to design a conscious future with a view to continuous improvement.
The Group's Sustainability journey in the ESG area, which assesses the environmental, social and corporate governance impact, has been a fundamental pillar on which the Group's business model is based since 2019. This awareness led to the decision to enrich the path with the preparation of the Fifth Report, based on the identification of strategic guidelines to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In 2023, on the occasion of its 126th anniversary, Giorgetti will strengthen its international presence with the opening of new prestigious showrooms. March sees the debut of Giorgetti Spiga - The Place in Milan, in the fashion district, followed in May by Atelier Giorgetti New York, a 1,000 square metre penthouse in Manhattan. June saw the opening of the second single-brand store in Shanghai, while July saw the opening of the Xi'An store in China, together with the renovated Casabella store in Xiamen. Finally, in September, a new mono-brand store was added in Cairo. Furthermore, the Giorgetti Group has participated in important events, such as: Milan Design Week, Brafta Art Fair, NYCxDesign, Imm Cologne Spring Edition, Kensington+Chelsea Art Week, London Design Festival Week, Milan Wine Week, Paris Design Week, presenting new collection novelties and iconic pieces and highlighting its excellence in both national and international contexts. Giorgetti was awarded at the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2023 in the Best Sleeper Hits category with Vibe bed designed by Carlo Colombo.

Giorgetti and Battaglia reconfirmed their commitment to protecting people through social and humanitarian initiatives.
In the forefront remains the enhancement of its human capital through corporate welfare tools and continuous training of its employees. The artisan component plays a fundamental role in the Group's business activities: in this context, collaboration with technical educational institutes has been consolidated over the years with the Giuseppe Terragni Professional Training Centre and Aslam in Lentate sul Seveso.

Environmental sustainability takes shape through the reconversion of resources and energy, thanks to initiatives that range from photovoltaic panels to the recycling of scarce processing waste, from the containment of emissions to the exclusive use of water-based materials for painting and polishing, to the complete elimination of industrial waste. This sustainable, coherent and transversal approach involves every company function, elevating the product to a higher level. The aim is to promote widespread well-being that embraces a broad community, both internally and externally, including the 261 employees and supply chains.

Lastly, constant investment in products that are long-lasting and completely made in Italy. Giorgetti has always been dedicated to creating objects designed for continuous and long-lasting use, conceived to be handed down to future generations, preserving and even increasing their value.
